Colonia de San Jordi

The port of Colonia de Sant Jordi belongs to the municipality of Ses Salines and apart from its activities of recreational fishing and sailing it is the gateway to the island of Cabrera which is situated at only 10 miles of sailing from the port of Colonia de Sant Jordi. Despite of its long tradition as a port it was only in 1947 that at the request of some fishermen the works of the construction of the pier were started. 

Beaches near Colonia de San Jordi: Es Trenc is a large fine sandy beach of 2.5 km surrounded by natural dunes. The beach can get crowded in the summer season.S´Arenal de sa Rapita is a sandy beach of 1375 m, it gets medium crowded in the high season.
